When we were invited to collaborate with the Bride Link on their summer styled shoot at The Cardinal’s Nest, a local wedding venue in east Tennessee, one idea immediately jumped to mind: lush, imaginative flower arrangements. Inspired by the gorgeous scenery surrounding the outdoor venue, we knew that our flowers had to be a major focal point in order to stand out.

Collaborating with Custom Love Gifts, Events, and Prints, the wedding planners who coordinated the styled shoot, we decided that our main oeuvre would be a breathtaking, asymmetrical floral arch as the backdrop for the ceremony site. Wrapped in greenery with tufts of blooms near the center, the arch perfectly complemented the open space of the venue while also adding an incredible touch of drama.

In truth, the entire styled shoot was covered in flowers. From the lavish floral runners atop linens from Campbell Tent and Party Rentals and Event Rentals by Rothchild’s china to the verdant greenery elegantly displayed above the tables, the entire venue was an explosion of flora. Indeed, even the wedding cake, beautifully make by The Bee’s Knees Bakery, was adorned with blooms.

It should go without saying that the bride’s bouquet, an expansive and whimsical arrangement, was a spectacle in itself, as stems branched out organically amidst a generous assortment of variegated blossoms. The groom’s boutonniere expertly meshed with this bouquet in miniature, a cohesive pairing mirroring the floral aesthetics throughout the rest of the shoot. Against stunning hair and makeup by Southern Sirens, a bridal gown from Lillian Ruth Bride by Wedding Wonderland, and menswear by Regal Tuxedo, the bride and groom’s accompaniments were the perfect accompaniment.
